Âyân
Ayan is a design from Hi Arc's Anatolian Codes collection that combines clarity of form with depth of meaning.
It takes its name from the Arabic word "ayan", meaning "visible" or "revealed".
This object treats visibility not only as a formal aesthetic but as a state of being.
The skeleton, composed of turned wooden spheres, exhibits an almost architectural stance with its structural clarity.
The green textured fabric softens this rigidity with its movement on the surface, creating a dynamic tension between power and elegance.
Each sphere is both a trace of craft and a symbol of continuity—the rhythmic meeting of past and present.
Ayan is not just a chair, it is a poetic interpretation of being visible.
As a functional sculpture, it carries formal boldness and cultural references on the same body.
Material: Solid hornbeam, glossy lacquer, textured fabric
Dimensions: 60 × 60 × 78 cm
