It takes its name from one of the simplest words in Turkish, iskemle – a word that has become almost invisible in everyday life, but holds a deep place in memory.

The form is striking in its simplicity: the geometric mass contrasts with the soft circular cushion.

The dark cherry-brown lacquered surface leaves its weight on the floor, while the light-toned upholstery carries the body elegantly.

This tension forms the essence of the design—a balance between hardness and softness, tradition and contemporaneity.

The chair takes sitting beyond being a simple action; it transforms the body into a state of thinking, the object into a form of being.

It is the purest expression of Hi Arc's "functional sculpture" approach.
