Tonga is born in the HiArc universe, on the fine line between playfulness and seriousness.

It takes its name from the Old Turkish meaning of "trick, game, surprise".

But the game here is not deception but creative reconstruction.

Form transcends function; the object becomes part of the meaning.

The rounded foot form creates a sculptural weight, while the graphically patterned fabric surface offers an almost ironic lightness.

This contrast makes visible the play inherent in the design: a serious object speaks in a joyful language.
