Gördes

Gördes is a design in Hi Arc's Anatolian Codes collection that reinterprets the ancient memory of weaving in a contemporary way.
It takes its name from Gördes, the heart of the Aegean carpet-making tradition—a symbol of patience, labor and ritual.

The motifs on the fabric surface carry the rhythm of the earth and the sun;
Every pattern is a breath, every fold is a memory.
The form combined with the wooden base brings together the stability of nature and the inner flow of man.

Gördes unravels the knots of the past with the language of today —
It processes light onto the surface and meaning into space.
It is as poetic as it is functional;
It is felt as it is touched, and it gains meaning as it is felt.
