Kalgay is a spatial expression of power and continuity in HiArc's Anatolian Codes collection.

It takes its name from the title “kalgay” in Turkish history—the silent representative of authority who follows the khan, the figure who combines wisdom and power.

The form is reminiscent of a throne, but here power is represented not by ostentation but by balance.

While the dark polished lathe legs symbolize a deep-rooted past that connects with the ground, the elongated body form is a spatial representation of continuity and anticipation.

The linear movement on the fabric surface bears the trace of time—the silent continuation of a flow, a lineage, a culture.

Kalgay transforms authority into a stance, not an object.

It is not a throne, but it carries the meaning of authority; it is not a piece of furniture, but it reestablishes the hierarchy of space.

In this respect, it is one of the most metaphorical examples of the concept of functional sculpture.
