Tîrâze
Tirâze is a design in HiArc's Anatolian Codes collection, where the surface becomes a language and the texture a narrative tool.
It takes its name from the Persian word tirâze, meaning "embroidered border, ornament."
However, the “ornament” here is not a superficial addition; it is the rebirth of cultural memory in the texture.
The wavy form on the back creates visual music with a rhythmic flow like sound waves.
While the layered spherical forms on the feet represent the cyclical rhythm of the craft, the pale embroidery on the fabric surface establishes a subtle connection between the past and the present.
This piece is not an “ornament,” but an act of remembrance.
Tirâze is a functional sculpture that transforms the surface into a memory layer.
Every stitch is a word; every pattern is an identity.
Material: Solid hornbeam, natural lacquer, embroidered woven fabric
